COMPOSITION C-4 — brizant BP. A mixture consisting mainly of hexane with varying amounts of plasticizer (oil), diethylhexyl sebacate and polyisobutylene. The explosive is used as the main charge in blasting and can be used underwater.

Solubility
Slightly soluble in acetone. Soluble in dimethylformamide.

Note
Storage stability is considered good. It is non-hygroscopic and is not affected by moisture. Does not react with most common metals.
