MC-71
The MC-71 is a Romanian anti-tank mine with a shaped charge, triggered by a separate fuse with an angled rod placed a short distance away from it. The MC-71 mine is similar to the Czech (Czechoslovak) PT Mi-P ATSC mine, but differs primarily in the design of the cover, the insert, and the detonator, which is mounted on the side of the PT Mi-P. The MC-71 mine was previously in service with the Romanian Armed Forces, but it was believed to have been withdrawn from service due to the sensitivity of its detonation system. In early December 2024, it was spotted in Ukraine.
