The DM 61 (DM – Deutsches Modell, meaning "German Model 61") is a German defensive hand grenade with a plastic casing and a highly effective fragmentation charge (preformed fragments).
It consists of: the grenade body, explosive material, ready-to-use projectiles, and a fuse. It is 103 mm long, weighs 340 grams, and has a diameter of 57 mm.
